Now that I’m in the final stretch of this blog, I will admit that posts about Thursdays, written on Friday evenings, are tough. Mainly because it’s Friday night, I’ve let loose a little and am relaxing and sometimes maybe am not feeling incredibly inspired to write something insightful, meaningful or even coherent.

This is most certainly one of those nights. Looking back on Thursday, it turns out I didn’t take a ton of photos and I’m honestly struggling to remember much of what we did. As I recall it was another pretty normal-normal day. Work for grown ups, therapy for Henry, and hanging out in her pajamas for Amelia.

It was really nice outside, and I did take the kids to the park for a while in the afternoon, so Amelia had to finally get dressed. And I have to say, I LOVED the outfit.

The hat, the knee-high socks…she ROCKS it. And the thing that is hard to capture in writing or photography with Amelia is that she just exudes supreme confidence in whatever she wears, making it that much more awesome. I wish I had that much style and confidence as a kid, and as a grown up, for that matter.

Anyway, we had lots of fun playing some hide and seek and other games before Henry decided it was too hot (it was) and we headed back home.

And that is really about all I have to say about that. I made a pretty good dinner trying out a chipotle rub for chicken I kind of made up, and it turned out pretty good, which I’ll take as a win. Every day has its victories.
