After two days on the road, on Wednesday we jumped full force, right back to it. After being off from work for almost a week, I came back to having a day with two conference calls and an online presentation to deliver. No rest for the weary.

I spent all day [starting to] catch up on emails and preparing for my board of directors meeting the next day.

Erin and the kids were busy with unpacking and cleaning around the house. I pitched in where I could in between calls and other work stuff.

Normally I punctuate this blog with pictures of the kids doing funny stuff or other goofy things that come up throughout the day. But this was a day where everyone was so busy doing their own thing, our paths barely crossed. So the big stars of the day were:

What a hoot!

For my part, even though I was in constant motion, I was plenty tired and sluggish all day. It was a tough slog, but I made it through. It was a healthy reminder of my usual rule of building in at least one day off after getting back from vacation to acclimate.

It is good to be back in Colorado, though. When I was taking the kids to bed, I looked out the window and saw we were being treated to a beautiful sunset, that of course my crappy picture will do no justice to.

Some nights I’d be inclined to sit out back and soak that in a little, but that night I knocked out pretty early. That car lag and one hour time change is still getting to me, I guess.
