On Thursday, I had a pretty busy day at work and had to deliver another national webinar. It was a rerun of the one I did earlier in the week, but having the first one under my belt definitely helped, and I felt better about the second run through. Apologies to anyone who tuned in on Tuesday, I will readily admit that the Thursday crowd got the better show.

Amelia had some school projects to do, and she joined me for a while in my office before I had my presentation. When I went back to the guest room to run the webinar, Amelia took over my desk. It was a good look for her.

After work, Erin had to go off and teach her dog training class, and I needed to get out in the front yard and rake the leaves. For having such a tiny yard, with two small trees that maybe have like 20 leaves each, we sure had quite a pile to clean up. Our neighbors have much larger, leafier trees so we had lots blow in and collect in our yard.

But, it was a beautiful fall afternoon and I had the kids and Asta out with me, and we all had a really nice time.

The kids spent a lot of time jumping in the leaves and playing.

Asta stood guard over the yard.

And Amelia’s stuffed dog, Bow, got stuck climbing up a tree.

I wrapped up raking as the sun set, and the kids were still having fun playing in the yard.

I wound up filling FIVE enormous garden bags with leaves. So it was a very productive afternoon. Yeah, I had a few hundred attendees at the webinar and got my yard cleaned up, but what I will remember is the laughs of my kids jumping into leaves and taking part in that timeless tradition of autum fun.
