Tuesday was a pretty day in a pretty busy week. There were appointments, calls, work and other odds and ends sprinkled throughout the day. We decided to cap off the day by taking Kallin into Denver to attempt some igloo dining.
Henry had his drum lesson, and once again rocked that. His teacher took him through George of the Jungle, We Will Rock You and Wipeout. After his lesson, he and I swung back home and picked up the ladies and headed into Denver.
While we didn’t get an igloo, we did get this keen little ice fishing tent.

It was plenty cold outside (see yesterday’s post) and frankly plenty cold inside, but some good company and yummy pub comfort food helped warm our spirits.

We had fun, and by the time we wrapped up, of course, the tent finally kind of started to warm up. Figures. But after dinner, we headed home to our toasty warm house. Auntie Kallin played with the kids for a while, and we were all pretty tired and called it an early evening.
We feel a little bad that the weather has taken such a turn for the cold for our friend’s visit, but I guess at least we can comfort ourselves in the fact that, at least as cold as it is here, it is warmer than it is back in her home in Chicago. Not by much, but a little bit.
